File Preparation
Files for printing should be prepared according to the following guidelines. If you are not sure whether your images meet these, or you don’t know how to change them, don’t worry - we can do it for you.
- Flattened TIFF or jpeg files only; RGB, not CMYK.
- Resolution: 360 pixels per inch for optimal quality; 180 ppi is an acceptable alternative.
- The print sizes used here are for the total paper used. Allow white space around the printed area of your image, and ensure that your total image size (printed area and white space) is not larger than the printable area of the paper: images that are too large will be cropped or re-sized. (For example, if you want a 16 x 20 inch print area on 17in paper, it will need a 16.5 x 25 inch file size.)
